Dr Simon Walker has experience and expertise within the context of Correctional assessment and treatment.

Dr Walker has written many psychological assessments for the New Zealand Parole Board and the Courts.

Dr Walker uses validated and evidence-based risk assessment measures that have been developed domestically and overseas.

He can provide services for men, women, and those that identify as non-binary. He offers services to those who have engaged in any type of offending, including violent, sexual, and general offending.

Dr Walker’s assessment approach reflects current international best practice standards.

His work is of a very high standard. All reports that he provides are peer reviewed for quality assurance purposes by a Senior Clinical Psychologist with significant correctional experience. If there are cultural matters to consider, the report may be also peer reviewed by a clinical psychologist of Māori descent.

He is open to discussing referrals from legal counsel or individuals/family’s who are currently involved in the courts.

He does not offer services for youth (people under the age of 18).
